Tallest man-made waterfall in the world

Jurong Falls, measuring 30m or 100 feet, is the tallest man-made waterfall in the world. Water plunges over the top of a towering cliff at the rate of 8,300 liters or 1,800 gallons per minute...

...write-up lifted from a postcard...what's with the metric-english conversion thing?

Pelicans singing?

Nah...they're just trying to catch the food the caretaker's throwing at them.

Headstrong

Direction...

Whenever I feel lost in my career, I just look at my daughter. She never fails to remind me who I'm really working for.

Her first...

Yup...this is how we celebrated my kid's first birthday...just the five of us (Andee, Mommy, Geof and his wife Eva). I know first birthday is a big thing for us pinoys but if you're in another country and you hardly knew anybody...you have to settle for what's doable and available. We couldn't cook in the hotel room so we just had take out - two pasta variants, salmon pizza, ice cream, bananas, grapes and of course the birthday cake.

But who's complaining? If we're back in Manila, it could just have been Mcdonalds or Jollibee.

After 5 months...

My daughter, Andee, after 5 months...Man, I gotta learn some kung-fu...gotta teach her to kick ass and some balls...haha...

Coin Divers of Port Matnog

Mind you, the swimming goggles this kid is wearing is handmade.

This one couldn't handle the competition so he climbed aboard and begged for coins from the passengers.

Big & Small

Photogenic

My wife's niece, Charlotte, always ready to smile and pose for the camera.

Flood

This ain't the worst part of the calamity in Northern Samar. Some families celebrated the New Year homeless. We thought we had to cancel my daughter's christening since the rain was relentless. Thank God it pushed through and a lot of people still came to celebrate with us.

Red dragonflies...

Big Smile!

Egg...

It's either I'm too slow in focusing my camera or this guy has the habit of eating a hardboiled egg in one big gulp.

ON & OFF...Serbisyo ni Gloria

This guy stood out among the rest of the street cleaners...while the others were busy sweeping the highway eager to finish before lunch break...this guy would use his broom...sweep 1, 2, 3...and pause...watch the traffic....repeat sweep...a reflection of our government's performance? Come election time - sweep 1, 2, 3...after being elected...pause.

Bliss...

I must have done something really good in my past life to be worthy of the love of these two women. That's my wife, Love and my 2-month old daughter, Andrea.

Noypi talaga!

Another one of those crazy poses from Christian & Co...and no...they're not actually doing that "kuto" thing.

Smiles...

Christian, my brother-in-law and my daughter's yaya, Arlene, having some fun posing for the camera.

Scavenger...

Scavenger...always on the lookout for leftovers...even saw one sneaking on a poor guy's plate when he was getting himself a can of soda.

Boy, if you live here in the Philippines, you'll be someone else's lunch.

Balance...

Another one of those shots at Singapore Botanic Gardens...

GrandPa

I wonder what he's thinking about?...

My first attempt in P&S photography...taken at Singapore Botanical Gardens.
